What is R-FOX?
R-FOX is an interactive AI-powered learning robot designed to engage students in hands-on coding and data exploration. By programming R-FOX through intuitive block-based coding, students can dive into real-world applications of data science, controlling the robot to perform tasks and analyze the results of their work. It’s a powerful tool for fostering critical thinking and creativity in young learners.
R-FOX Features
R-FOX operates in two modes: Exploration Mode and Navigation Mode.
Navigation Mode
In Navigation Mode, students can program R-FOX to follow lines, avoid obstacles, or safely navigate to a designated location.
Exploration Mode
Exploration Mode takes it a step further, allowing the use of built-in and external sensors for more advanced learning activities.
How Does R-FOX Work?
Block Coding
R-FOX can be fully controlled using Scratch-based block coding, making it accessible for elementary students to design and test their own projects.
Change Facial Expressions
The robot's LED display can show various facial expressions, making interactions more engaging and fun.
Sound Effects
R-FOX’s built-in speaker lets students program custom sounds, adding an extra layer of excitement to their learning journey.
Natural Movements
With dual motors controlling its neck, R-FOX can mimic natural head movements, like tracking a human face. The robot’s base is equipped with sensors for line-following and obstacle detection, enabling smooth navigation.
R-FOX combines software, IoT, and AI to offer a rich coding experience where students can control, program, and even teach the robot using AI models.
